I don’t know what it is about caravan parks… but they just hit different.

Kids disappear on bikes and somehow make 10 new friends in an hour.There’s always a craft table somewhere (and somehow we always find it 😂).And by the afternoon?Music’s on, someone’s cracked a beer, and there’s a full singalong happening.

And honestly… if you’re wondering “what would we even do for family photos?”

This is it.

This right here is exactly what an adventure-led family session looks like.

We stayed at Discovery Park Harrington Beach and honestly, it ticked every box.

It’s dog friendly (which is always a non-negotiable for us), has all the amenities you actually need (not just the “looks good online” kind), and they’ve just added these fancy deluxe drive-through sites…

And when I say fancy, I mean boujee camping 😂

Like… you pull in, set up with ease, and suddenly feel like you’ve got your life together.

We rebooked for next year before we even left. That kind of stay.

The Kind of Days You Don’t Plan

This trip wasn’t planned.

No itinerary. No big “must do” list.

It just… unfolded.

One minute it was remote control cars with dad lots of “wait, I just need to fix this” and tiny hands trying to help. Next minute the kids had set up their own little market stall, fully committed, selling bracelets and jerky like it was their full-time job.

We ended up at the craft table (of course),then lining up for a waterslide that looks harmless… but absolutely was not 😂

And in between all of that?

Slow walks down at Crowdy Bay.Salty air. Sandy feet. Kids running ahead like they’ve got nowhere else to be.

The lighthouse just sitting there in the background one of those spots that makes you pause for a second.

Nothing over the top.Nothing perfectly planned.

But somehow… everything.
